What's new:

As deal lead, you can now reduce an investor's fees or carry terms without having them re-sign. Sydecar automatically detects favorable term changes and sends the investor a confirmation email rather than requiring them to re-sign.

You can now invite the same investor to a deal multiple times.

For example, if your investors invest through a trust, an LLC, and a personal account, you can invite each entity to the same deal with an individual email invite, a CSV upload, or a shareable link.

That means no need for separate accounts or manual intervention, allowing for faster onboarding and funding.

If you're a teammate on more than one team (such as a wealth advisor, RIA, multi-family office, or anyone juggling multiple investor or deal-lead teams), you can now easily switch between them. 

Changing teams changes what you see: your sidebar, deals, and invitations all update to match each team and your permissions on that team. Selecting “all” allows you to see all teams at once, which is useful if you manage relationships across several investors, while keeping each team's permissions separate.

Review and approve cash and in-kind distributions directly inside the platform. When you approve a distribution, we automatically send an email to each investor with a link to download their distribution notice. For cash distributions, Sydecar also drafts the payments. You'll also have a full history of approved distributions to pull up anytime for your records.

That means you can manage the full distribution process, from approval to payment to notice, in one place with less back-and-forth.

You can now use the new Calculations tool, at the top of the deal page, to see exactly how much to raise from investors so the target company or fund receives a specific amount, with fees factored in automatically. 

Use it to test different scenarios involving different combinations of investor allocations and fees, with updates in real time, and export any scenario to a CSV file for easy reference.

Investors can now add their outgoing bank account when funding a deal, which means we can process any distributions or refunds with less back-and-forth. New investors are prompted to input banking details the first time they fund a deal, and existing investors without payment details on file will see a reminder the next time they log in.

What's new:

Control persons can now enter UBO details on behalf of all beneficial owners, including personal information and ownership percentages, without waiting for each one to log in. For each UBO, the control person can enter their details directly or send an email invite for them to complete. When the control person provides all details, KYC triggers immediately and the UBO may never need to interact with the platform. The control person can also track KYC status for each UBO directly in the platform.

What this means for you:

A single control person can complete entity onboarding from start to finish. The KYC process begins as soon as they submit the required information, minimizing any delays to your deal closing.

What's new:

Transferred interests now appear directly in the Sydecar platform. Deal leads can view all transfer activity directly in their investor tables, eliminating the need to track transfers manually.

Investors who receive transferred interests can now create full platform profiles, view deal information and updates, and access their documents, including tax forms.

Our team is in the process of backfilling prior transfers. They will appear in your dashboard in the coming weeks.

What this means for you:

This update gives both deal leads and investors clear visibility into transferred positions and related documents, including K-1s at tax season.

What's new: 

We introduced a required attestation step for SPVs investing in another SPV or fund. Deal leads must now confirm allocation access, transferability of securities, satisfaction or waiver of transfer restrictions, required issuer consents, and the accuracy of supporting documentation. They must also acknowledge the additional risks of layered SPV structures, including fee stacking, tax complexity, reduced downstream control, and broken deal scenarios.

This update increases transparency and sets clear expectations before capital is raised. It reinforces organizer accountability, reduces operational and compliance risk, and helps ensure investors are appropriately informed when participating in multi-tier SPV structures.
