Quarterly Product Update, Q4'25

Introduction

In Q4, we rolled out several improvements designed to help Deal Leads run SPVs with more confidence and less manual work. From clearer investor KYC status updates, to a new fundraising estimates calculator and automated wire verification, these updates reduce surprises, speed up execution, and help your deals close on time. We’re also sharing a preview of what’s coming this quarter.

Improvements to Investor KYC Status

What we did:

Deal Leads can now see more precise, detailed information related to each investor's KYC status. This update provides more context on why an investor may not have passed KYC and any next steps required from you, the investor, or the Sydecar team.

How it helps you:

As a Deal Lead, you're accountable for timelines and closing certainty. Having a more granular view of your investors’ KYC status allows you to proactively follow up with individual investors and avoid any last-minute surprises that could jeopardize your deal.

Automations for Faster Investor KYC

What we did:

Individual investors will now be notified inside the platform which documents or information they need to submit to complete their KYC review. Incomplete submissions will automatically trigger a prompt informing investors what information they still need to provide. 

How it helps you:

An automated KYC process removes friction from investor onboarding, allowing investors to fund when their intent is highest and bolstering trust. This update, combined with our recent improvements to KYC status visibility, helps you proactively drive your SPV to an efficient close.

Fundraising Estimates Calculator

What we did:

The new Estimates tab allows Deal Leads to model different fundraising outcomes with ease. Toggle between scenarios, such as finalized commitments from all invited investors, or model out the fees across different total raise amounts.

How it helps you:

Now you can quickly confirm that your total fundraise matches the investment agreement. This helps you avoid last-minute surprises and keeps your deal moving smoothly and accurately.

Looking Ahead

Here’s a preview of the product improvements we’re working on for you this quarter.

Deal Lead Tax Center

Later this quarter, Deal Leads will be able to view estimated and final K-1 delivery dates for each investor inside their Tax Center and download all K-1s for their records. Deal Leads will also be able to download their 1099 forms (when applicable) directly from the platform. These improvements will give you a single place to see K-1 timelines and download final tax documents, reducing follow-ups and saving you time.

Investor Onboarding

We’re improving investor onboarding by making login and profile setup smoother, with a specific focus on the needs of entities like family offices and wealth managers. That means a smoother experience for investors and their teams that builds trust from day one.
